Kerry and Warren are Married - St Cuthberts Church Blaydon and Newcastle Quayside

Saturday, February 23, 2008

Today was one of those days where you know the wedding is going to be lovely, it was a small and intimate affair and a real friendly atmosphere was felt by all. Kerry and Warren are a happy couple who spend lots of their time laughing and loving each other!

I only met the happy couple when they booked me 3 weeks ago, yes guys that is what we call a last minute booking!

So on with the photos :-

Take 1 Groom

A couple of gorgeous rings

A beautiful bride

and the most adorable page boy and flower girl,

and I think that means we have ourselves a wedding!

No photos were allowed during the service today so we'll skip on with our story down on the Quayside in Newcastle, actually today we were on the Gateshead side of the Millenium Bridge, just next to the Baltic.

Doesn't she look amazing?

So happy together.

A dreamy veil shot which I adore, in fact I loved the veil shots soooo much here's another one.

This one has the Baltic centre for Contemporary art in the background.

I can tell you these two needed no prompting to get romantic with each other.
So after that it was just a skip and a hop to a small reception.

You really couldn't get a happier little family.

And look at her eyes, isn't she a poppet?

A moment with mum.

Real emotion, even I had a lump in my throat.

Well Kerry and Warren, have a wonderful time on your honeymoon in Egypt, I'll see you for your viewing when you return!

Thank you so much for sharing your special day with me, it really was an unforgettable afternoon.

Donna and Andrew are Married!

Saturday, February 02, 2008

I first met Donna and Andrew back in November when I shot their pre wedding shoot down on the Quayside in Newcastle upon Tyne and I knew after that first meeting that we were going to have a lot of fun together.

The thing is that Donna and Andrew are gigglers, they laugh all the time and I think thats probably what makes their relationship so special. So on with todays photos...

See, I told you she was a giggler!

A beautiful and very cute flowergirl.
No photos were allowed inside the chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latterday Saints so I'm skipping quickly onwards to...

Married and confetti everywhere, seriously these guys brought the most confetti I've ever seen!

In front of the Wedding car which incidentally was the same gorgeous wedding car as last week, I adore this car, I wish I could have a drive around in it!

Driving behind the wedding car on the way to the Elephant on the Tyne

The cake was completely unique and made by the lady who's husband drives the wedding car!

Looking gorgeous in the gown which she was fated to wear, she knew instantly when she saw it that it was the one she had to have.

Dancing down by the river Tyne

Sharing a moment of true love.

Looking out over a very cold river tyne, it was seriously chilly today.

In love and Happy, what more could you ask for.

Donna and Andrew, may you have a wonderful time in Egypt and may your life together always be as joyous and fun as it is now.

Where shall I start with Christine and Darrens story, hmmm,

Well they've been together for 12 years and are one of those couples who you would be delighted to spend time with, they're gorgeous and friendly and they really welcomed me into their special day, so.... On with the photos (of which there are so many I want to share it's going to take 2 or 3 posts so please bear with me!!

Darren with his dependable groomsmen.

Looking Handsome and Dashing though you should have seen them trying to attach the cravats!

The gorgeous bridesmaid, Sister Lorna who was just so friendly.

Lornas daughter who was flower girl and all round friendly poppet, she was the most delightful little girl and so well behaved for two and a half, I hope mum brings her in for a session with her sister because they are just adorable and you only have to say "Smile for Santa" and you get a great big grin!

Christine, the most beautiful glowing bride you ever saw.

With Dad just after the arrival at the church, check out that Bentley, what a dream of a classic car!

The Church, I have to say that I encountered the most wonderful clergyman yesterday, he was so photo friendly and I got the most amazing shots, thank you so much!

Lorna and her daughter, delighfully vintage and completely beautiful.

Just waiting to be welcomed into the church for the processional.

Married and going back into the world as husband and wife.

Ok, thats your lot for today, if you want to see more you'll have to wait till tommorrow, I really did have such a wonderful time and even the editing has been a joy! Congratulations Christine and Darren may you have a wonderful honeymoon and an amazing life together!

Sshh, I'm back but don't tell anyone except the whole world!

LOL, well you see the thing is that I have such a great google page ranking that it seems a waste of a blog to have to start a whole new one for my business so I thought I would just continue but in a new vein, that my dear reader is the one all about the photography and more importantly the photography of Mandy Charlton Designs. That is where I earn a living after all!! Over the next few weeks I'll share what I've been up to over the past 6 or so weeks since my business really kicked off, spun me round and made me fall in love, love, love with weddings!

For the last 2 weekends I had the pleasure of photographing a local asian wedding, this spectacular ceremony took place over 3 seperate dates at 3 different locations, but no matter where we ended up we started (and mostly finished) the days at the parents of the grooms house and so utilised their beautiful gardens to the fullest. Don't you think the Bride is gorgeous and the groom is handsome, together they make a lovely couple and I wish them well for a long and happy future together.

Look out for more photos of this wonderful wedding as we go through the week.

Dear blog readers it's good to be back!
