Christine and Michael are married

Thursday, August 04, 2011

My beautiful friend Christine got married to her true love Michael last Friday at St Marys Heworth followed by Eslington Villas, which by the way if you are a north east bride planning a smaller wedding you couldn't fault Eslington Villa, it really is a special kind of place and  it was a really special day and I'm so utterly delighted that I got to record it
here's just a few previews from the day, we started the day with Mike at the Barbers

and then we popped to Christines mums where we were greeted by this happy chap!

It's that getting into the dress moment!

because Christine and Michael are such good friends I also got to share the day with my gorgeous family and yes thanks to the talents of Jamie Emerson we got a new family portrait

and yes there's me with my camera, that doesn't happen very often ;)

Married!

Their gorgeous little family is complete!

Rachel and Jonathans Pre-Wedding Photoshoot, Saltwell Park, Gateshead

Wednesday, May 21, 2008

Rachel and Jonathan are getting married in August of this year so I met up with them in not so sunny Saltwell park this afternoon for their pre-wedding shoot. Despite Rachel feeling so very nervous I still got some wonderful photographs of them both.

Rachel is beautiful, slender and also has an amazing personality to match.

Jonathan is also gorgeous, he's quite meaty and has promised Rachel that his six pack will be ready for the wedding (LOL)

They simply are the adorable couple don't you think?

Yum!!

I love Rachel when she laughs, its when you see her truly relax and it is of course beautiful.

More giggling :)

We went for a walk and found lots of lovely places to shoot.

Rachel had never been to Saltwell Park and shock horror when I found out that Jonathan hasn't ever taken her on a romantic picnic!!

another lovely moment.

I love this bandstand photo, i think this is the one which would look awesome on a huge canvas!

Rachel and Jonathan, you are the adorable couple and I can't wait for your wedding in August.

Heather and Joels Wedding - St Nicholas Cathedral, Newcastle upon Tyne

Sunday, April 27, 2008

Yesterday I had the absolute delight and pleasure of photographing Heather and Joels wedding, these two people are a match made in the heavens and a most amazing and inspiring couple.

Heather chose to marry in a simple dress and a shetland wedding shawl, I think she looked simply beautiful.

Heather chose a bouquet of crocuses and daffodils

Looking out over the city from the Hilton hotel from where we departed. We walked to the cathedral passing many of the citys great landmarks along the way.

I'd never photographed a wedding where everything was done on foot and I have to say that I loved the walking.

Crossing the millenium bridge.

The beautful bridesmaids.

Joel receiving some last minute words from best man Lucy.

I love this one with Heather and her bridesmaids as the service was commencing.

Getting down to the serious business of marraige with Robert the wonderful Canon of the cathedral.

Did I mention they had a choir?

At one point the head of the choir sang in Hebrew, it was an amazing moment and Joel clearly felt the emotion, I think this next photograph is beautiful.

Married!!!

So up until now you may not have grasped the size of the cathedral, well here's a shot I got from the back just before the end of the service.

At the end Joel and Heather lead everyone into the East Chapel for champagne and canapes

This was followed by the speeches which were introduced as a 3 minute concept.

Here's another of my favourite moments from yesterday.

OOh Confetti and kisses

at the end of the afternoon we all walked from the Cathedral up to the Northern Stage for the meal.

On the way we stopped for lots of photographs, my favourite were when Joel who had donned a sparkly purple cap danced with Heather spontaneously

This kind of thing doesn't happen often

We also stopped at Starbucks

and then off we went to the university gardens for some portraits.

I love this one

Oh and this one too!!

Joel and Heather, you are an extraordinary couple, I can't thank you enough for letting me part of your special day. Enjoy the Dominican Republic and I'll see you for your viewing in a couple of weeks.
