Nothings going on...

Tuesday, August 08, 2006

No really it isn't!  To be honest I have so much going on I really didn't get around to blogging and I haven't a lot to tell at this moment in time, however watch this space because something exciting may be happening soon!!

We're off to the Lake District for a day trip tommorrow, we're going to the Sellafield Nuclear Power plant in the morning and Rheged (the village in the hill) in the afternoon, now I know the Nuclear power plant doesn't exactly sound thrilling but its supposed ot be great for kids and they have a dinosaur exhibit on, plus both of those locations are free entry!!

Hopefully I should be back tommorrow night with a camera full of photos and a few great memories!

Happy to be You!!

Monday, August 07, 2006

This page is my interpretation of a new challenge we're doing over at Craft Kingdom basically as we understand that all this heat can sap creativity and also that we're all a bit short on numbers at the moment we're having an Elsie meets Ali with Heidi along the way challenge which you can get straight to by clicking that luscious link!

So this weeks challenge was set by Elsie Flannigan (thats the book(52 scrapbooking challenges ) not the actual wonder of a lady) and basically it's all about using words on your layouts, I knew that I had to scrap this photograph of Abigail as it captures her at her very best and I had a lot of fun with this layout, I'm really loving scrapping this week, funny what a new challenge and going back to 8.5x11 can do for you!! Posted by Picasa

Laughter

Really is the best medicine isn't it?!

I'm pleased to report that Paul seems to have sorted some of his internal issues out and therefore relaxed and you could feel the whole of the house relax with him, Maybe now the nicotine really is gone and we can all move onwards into the future having a little more of this!! Posted by Picasa

Bare Footed.

I've wanted to scrap this photo ever since I took it but just lately though I have been scrapping loads, I've rarely uploaded anything, today though from no where I became inspired and found myself knowing immediately what I wanted to do with it, it's simple and for once I love it.

I've been trying to find my style again, trying to scrap for me and me alone, not worrying what people think and instantly hating things when they are finished. This I am totally happy with and i think it shows, My hubby loved it to and said this is what I need to be doing the whole time and you know I think he's right, I need to scrap for me and not be afraid to show it to the world!

In Other news, My husband told me I was right today, this happens only on very rare occasions so I thought I better blog it here for posterity!! Posted by Picasa

Marraige Guidance

Sunday, August 06, 2006

Every marraige has its ups and downs and ours is no different, we have decided to seek some marital therapy to help us understand each other better. It doesn't mean that our marraige is falling apart or that we don't love each other more than anything else, it simply means that we need a little guidance so that we can grow and become stronger and hopefully stay together for the rest of our lives.

I really couldn't imagine life without Paul, he's my best friend, my lover and my soulmate. We have very few wedding photos on account of the fact that we arranged our wedding in a week and we had no official photographer and lets be honest this photo isn't that great, it's appauling quality as it's been scanned by dad and then emailed to me and if this is the best one he has of us on our wedding day I'm wondering if I actually had my eyes open at any time. I knew it was bad when mum said they didn't have any close ups of us, yeah right, thanks for that, glad to see that no one actually took photos of us on our wedding day, I wondered why all the ones I have don't really feature us!!

The sad thing is that actually we don't have any more photographs together, I really need a tripod and 15 minutes where we're both together, he's good humoured and my hair isn't a total mess!! After all this photograph was taken nearly 7 years ago and boy have we changed! Posted by Picasa

Screaming...

Saturday, August 05, 2006

I have to be blatantly honest but I'm in a bi-polar cycle at the moment and it's somewhere south of the South Pole if you know what I mean.  I don't want to blog about it as I've spent the last week crying nearly every day.  I will say though that today is the anniversary of my first wedding, who can believe it was so long ago and don't I wish every day that I could just get over it and move on, sadly abuse may only take a few months, getting over it can take years.

Now combine that painting with this painting and thats pretty much how I feel at the moment.  Gotta love Dali and Munch!!

The one perfect thing...

Friday, August 04, 2006

I would love to have is a great photograph of my children, you have no idea how much time I spend trying to get them all in 1 photo at the same time, I seem to manage to get them together, I just can't get them all to look and smile together.

I guess thats pretty much life though, lovely but not quite perfect, a bit like the children actually are.

As much as I would love to call them perfection it would be an utter lie, sometimes they would drive the nuns out of the Nunnery!! The thing is though when they are all happy at the same time (doesn't happen very often) and they're all giggly and full of adventure, thats when they're perfect.

Also I guess that I have to make the point that I'm far from perfect but my therapist got the message through that we don't have to be prefect we just have to be good enough and you know what, I am good enough and so are they!! Posted by Picasa
