1st class and 1st challenge

Saturday, July 08, 2006

Ok, so I'm having fun this morning, I did the first class, I drew inspiration from it to create my own oriental shrine it's quite distressed but then again so am I LOL, the the first challenge was to create something with the die cut letters we were all sent so I thought what else could you make with wet n wild other than a Pool party invite, not that we really get the weather for them here but it's only a bit of fun!!

Lets hope that the rest of the weekend is just as much fun, The first class I'm teaching is a beginners scrapbooking class at 2pm, why not join up and join in at the Craft Kingdom

Cyber Crop Madness

Well the Cyber Crop on the Craft Kingdom has finally arrived and I am really looking forward o exercising my creativity, lets just hope that I can actually find some to give a workout too.  I'm not entirely sure what is wrong with me but the last couple of days I have been el Mammio Grouchio, quite disturbing it is too as I'm not really used to being grouchy at the moment, actually for a while I have been top of the tower, no I fear that I'm doing a cliff dive into the deep waters of depression, lets just hope that the lifeboats are waiting to rescue me before i get in too deep and drown!

Actually really I'm not wanting to moan it's just that I'm not sleeping very well at the moment, I never sleep very well but it's particularly bad with all this intense heat, we british are not used to such sustained periods of mugginess, gawd elp us if we get to August and it's even hotter, I knew I should have had my hysterectomy in the winter, atleast then the hot flushes could have warmed me up and saved a fortune on my heating bills!

All the family have just departed to go and see the second head of bealzebub or mother as she would like to be known,  I'm off to inject myself and cure this migraine before all the cyber cropping madness commences at 10am!

My Friendship Journal

Recently when I had my hysterectomy, my really great friends all got together in a collabrative work of amazing art and papercraft to make me this friendship journal, when 1 of those lovely friends Sarah brought it over for me yesterday it was a complete surprise and I couldn't fail to be moved that there are people who actually think of me so highly.

Todays post is dedicated to the work or Sarah, Jacqui, Louise, Eva, Olwen and Kirsteen, friends to whom I owe so much.

Life really is.....

Thursday, July 06, 2006

The biggest challenge, the worst part of this occurs when 6 days out of 7 are fine and then something insignificant occurs on day 7 and all hell breaks loose, the worst part is that what happens on day seven tells you that what happened on the other 6 days was all just 1 big lie, where do you go with that?

What happens if that were your entire life, what happens if all you beleived in and all that you thought that you were was 1 big lie.

I'll give an example, I always wore size 16 clothes and I still think I should wear them now even though my body tells me that it's a size 14, my mother never gave me that choice though so even when I was 16 years old, I was wearing  size 16 clothes which were too big but it's only now that I've realised why they were always too big, i never really was that  size, the thing is though that I wouldn't even have thought of trying on a smaller size because my mother was right (or not as the correct case may be) so now I try on 14's which usually fit with room to spare, funny thing is that lately mum has lost weight and makes a point of telling me she is now a size 12.

Lies really can become your life to the point where even when you find out the truth, it's still easier to beleive the lie.

Angel with Attitude

Wednesday, July 05, 2006

Did this layout last night, it's been distressed and inked and drawn on, ignore the slight shadow on Abigail if you look at the bigger version, I'm afraid I was too lazy to take it out of the page protector before I photographed the layout, I have one of those carpo SEI preservation albums which admittedly was only just under £7 but the person who designed them wants shot as you can't get the layouts in without splitting the protectors. Grrrr!!

The Journalling reads, "Funny with a huge attitude you're not quite an angel but good enough!"

Not bad for someone who used to get a D for Art! Posted by Picasa
