Well "Deer", that was a wonderful wedding

Monday, May 13, 2013

How are you my lovely dear reader, have you had a delightful weekend?

Let me tell you about my goings on.

Saturday, I had the loveliest wedding and a lot of the wedding guests looked like this

Yes, the wonderful thing about Whitworth is that it has it's own deer park, it was a beautiful laid back wonderful affair and my assistant and I had an absolute blast

we shot the portraits after dinner so the light was at it's most perfect and it really was yummy light and time spent with a fantastic bride and groom, I really do have the best job in the world.

So what is today about?  Well a little admin sending prints off to the lab and then maybe a couple of hours to myself to relax, listen to the radio and do a little craft and then this evening I'm off to meet with potential clients who are getting married in January, fingers and toes crossed dear reader.

Whatever you have in store this week I hope it's wonderful, stay positive and fabulous things will happen.

The wedding of Esther and Laurence at St Oswalds church and Durham Castle, Durham

Monday, September 17, 2012

So, on Friday I was booked to photograph Laurence and Esther from the moment the left the church until they sat down for dinner, now obviously it's not the norm to have a wedding booking within those time-frames and I can hear you asking "Just what do you cover on a 3 hour wedding booking, is it really going to be exciting and inspiring and beautiful or will it just be a huge rush"?

Being a wedding photographer for me is about representing the love of 2 people and of course all couples are different, some couples want a 12 hour coverage, a coffee table album and a storybook album but some couples just want 2 or 3 hours of their wedding day photographed so for me it's important that those 3 hours count.

I was shooting at St Oswalds Church and Durham Castle, it's no secret they're favourite venues of mine, particularly the castle as it's soaked and baked in history (and if course it has Harry Potter connections too).

So, the challenge, to record the love and marriage of Esther and Laurence in 3 hours, want to see some photographs?  Here's their story...

Esther and Laurence may you have so many happy and wonderful years together, thanks for letting me be your wedding photographer and proving that 3 hours of wedding photography can still mean wonderful photographs.
