Dan and Claires Pre-wedding photoshoot on Newcastle Quayside

Saturday, April 26, 2014

On Thursday I went out for a lovely lunch with Dan and Claire who are getting married at the end of June at the Garden Station up near Hexham, it's a totally unique venue very much like Dan and Claire who are wonderful!

After lunch we went out onto the quayside to shoot their pre-wedding photo shoot and here are the results, all images were shot with the Fuji X-Pro1 and the 35mm f1.4 lens, it's the ultimate combination if you're a portrait photographer.

and I can honestly say that was the best pre-wedding shoot to open this years wedding season, lots more coming up on my blog over the next few months.

If you would like to book a couples shoot with me please email me or click through to my website or Facebook page.

It's Spring! Easter mini sessions are just around the corner

Wednesday, March 20, 2013

It's Spring dear reader, I thought I better tell you just in case you were currently sitting dusting the snow off your shoes!

Can you believe just how cold it's been?  I must be so lucky with the weather because this weeks mini sessions all went ahead without issue and it didn't even feel too cold, at one point there was even sunshine!!

So this weekend there are available sessions at Tynemouth Longsands at 1pm, 1.30pm, and 2pm

Next weekend on Saturday it's Easter mini sessions at Saltwell Park and I'm giving out free Easter Eggs to all the kids who come along.  The day is already quite full but I have availability at 1.30pm, 2pm, 2.30pm and 3pm, I may even squeeze another couple in at 3.30pm and 4pm but that is only if I fill the other sessions first.

So what do you get? well you get a 30 minute shoot, a web gallery for 30 days, 15% off for the first 7 and it's only £20 which includes your favourite image as a 7x5 print.

Print prices start at £10 for a 5x7, £13 for a 10x8 and £15 for a 12x8.  if you would like to book one you can email me, contact me through my website or I'm always posting my latest photos on my Facebook Business Page.

Mini sessions are suitable for babies and kids (babies must be able to sit with very little support, if yours can't you might want to consider having a family portrait shoot at home) families (including the family pets) couples or maybe even just you!

and why wouldn't you want to have a mini shoot dear reader, take a look at some recent sessions and what I've been getting up to in this last week.

I'm shooting this lovely couples wedding on the 6th of April and it's going to be a beautiful thing!

we had a teacher training day on Monday so we hopped up to Kelso in the scottish borders, it's one of our favourite places and we get to tell everyone that we left the country to go to lunch, and had a very cold but lovely family day out.

Jonathan and Susans Pre-wedding photo shoot, Newcastle Quayside

Tuesday, June 26, 2012

What can I tell you about Jonathan and Susan, well firstly they're utterly lovely people, I met them a few weeks ago for their pre-wedding shoot and it was the first time I met them, within 5 minutes it was like we'd know each other for ages, I love it when connections like that happen!

It's good that they did as this couple are busy busy busy, they both have uber cool jobs in the TV and Movie industry and are currently working on Game of Thrones at the moment.  Susan works in costumes and Jonathan works in Visual effects, i.e. he gets to go to work every day and blow stuff up, now I thought I had the coolest job in the world but that is even cooler, I think everyone would like to go to work and blow stuff up ;)

We met up on the Newcastle/Gateshead quayside and got some great shots and I can't wait for their wedding on Saturday :)

Richard and Donna get romantic in Jesmond Dene

Monday, June 11, 2012

You can't beat Jesmond Dene in June, even when the weather hasn't been brilliant it's just so very green!  I met up with Richard and Donna who's wedding I'm shooting in just a couple of weeks to get some lovely couples shots of them, of course their doggy Charlie was a big old poser even if he did display some doggy diva qualities!

Richard and Donna have chosen this image to be displayed on a 16x20 signing board at their wedding, there'll be lots of room for people to write lovely happy messages on their special day and afterwards they'll be able to hang it on their wall as it comes ready with a frame.

Richard and Donna have been together for ages, they have grown up kids and what gives me warm and fuzzies is that it's so obvious how very much in love they are, I can't wait to shoot their wedding at the Mansion House in Jesmond

They've planned a small intimate wedding and I think it's going to be a brilliant day, all we need is for it not to rain!!

If you would like to have a chat about your big day or maybe you just want to get some couples shots of you and your other half then please give me a call or click through to my website
