Few quick photographs

Thursday, April 10, 2008

I have such a busy weekend ahead (E-Session tommorrow, big family shoot on Saturday and Portraits in th Park(still time to book a slot) on Sunday) that if I don't post these now they won't get posted so....

Finlay came to see me today but I didn't get many photos of him as he wasn't in posing mode!!

I quite like this one though, he was investigating!!

I got this quick portrait of the girls this evening as the sun was setting.

and this one too!!

Stay tuned for hopefully tons of gorgeous photographs over the weekend!!

Sisters.....

16 months between these two and they're so completely different, although they're 4 and 5, it's like they're 4 and 10, I'll let you guess which is which!!!

A Quick Portrait

Wednesday, April 09, 2008

I didn't have time to process this until this morning though I took it sometime over the weekend, atleast thats when I think I took it! I've been so busy since Spring arrived. Also the boudoir photography is where it's at right now, plus the great thing about Boudoir is that it doesn't matter what the weather is like!!!

Don't forget Spring portraits in the park on Sunday, time is running out to book your slot!!! More details about both those things on my website.

For now though, here's Abigail

Portraits in the Park - Reminder and Boudoir Photoshoots

Tuesday, April 08, 2008

Ok so just a reminder that Sunday is portraits in the park, thats right, 30 minute portrait sittings for only £25 between 9.30am and 6pm, some slots are still available so if you're looking to get a new family portrait, would like a quickie engagement session, want some wonderful photos of your children or pets, want to show the world how much you still love each other or want to introduce your new baby to the world get in quickly and book your slot. It's pretty much the same as my normal portrait sessions except that it's half price!! Photographs will all be in password protected galleries after 7 days and you'll get 15% discount for the first 7 days your gallery is live. If you want more details or to book you can call any of the numbers up above or click through to my contact page.

Boudoir sessions are now available and can be booked up to 3 months in advance. I will travel for boudoir as long as I can arrange 3 sessions in one day or multiple sessions over a couple of days so girls even if you live in Lands End or John O Groats so long as you can get some of your friends to also sign up I'll come and shoot your boudoir session at no extra cost to yourself. Hotel rooms and makeup artists are also available as additional extra and a price is available on request. Mostly though boudoir is done in the comfort of your own home which I feel helps to relax the client. So girls we'll have girly giggles, we'll crank the music up and we'll get amazing shots you will never forget and the best part is that all the retouching is included in the price!! If you want to book a boudoir session then you can call me on any of the numbers on the header or click through to my contact page on my website.

Ooh, one more thing, I'm thinking of changing my business name to Mandy Charlton Photography, whaddaya think? (when I bought my domain name I used to design custom scrapbooks hence Mandy Charlton Designs)

Jill, Jim and boys, family portrait session!

Monday, April 07, 2008

I went up to meet with Jill, Jim and her boys on Saturday. Jills son Paul is off to Australia soon so it was the perfect opportunity to get some fabulous photographs.

This is Paul, the man in question who is shortly emigrating, lucky devil!

Pauls brother, another handsome chap!

Mum Jill with her boys, she really doesn't look old enough does she?!

One of the many wonderful group shots!

I couldn't leave without a portrait or two of Poppy the family dog, how gorgeous and well behaved.

Jill and family it was wonderful to meet you all and I'm so glad that you love all the photographs.

Temporary Fault -

Sunday, April 06, 2008

Yes, went to switch on my laptop this morning and it refused to work!! It's being looked after by the very capable and wonderfl James at the business centre in PC world at the moment and with any luck I should get it back tommorrow.

It does mean that i can't post yesterdays family portrait session though as this ark-esque Laptop i'm currently using doesn't have a working disk drive and doesn't much like my external hard-drive. the last time I used it, paul took a month before it recovered from the experience!!

i am slightly miffed that i'm going to have to reinstall all the software when i get it back but Hey ho, atleast i had backups of everything (x3). I'm quite fastidious in that i keep back ups on an external hard-drive and on DVD's and of course on my website as well!!

James assured me that i could go and pick my laptop up first thing tommorrow which is a good thing as I have a really busy week ahead.

Oh and it's been snowing all day and we have a houseful of lawnmowers, hmmmmmmm

Lisas Boudoir Photoshoot

Saturday, April 05, 2008

I went off to meet with Lisa yesterday afternoon to shoot a little present for her husband to be and also because Lisa wanted some truly amazing photographs of herself. We spent a couple of hours just laughing and getting great shots and I'm so jealous because Lisa looks amazing.

We tried to get some great photographs in the nearby woodlands but sadly the rain was horizontal, I do love this one though!

You would kill to look like this wouldn't you?!

Just amazing and so beautiful!

Now obviously this photoshoot was about making a woman feel great about herself and that's the great thing about boudoir, there really is no other kind of photoshoot like it. As much as I would love to share some more of the photos from the session, they're not for public consumption!

Ladies of Newcastle, Gateshead, Sunderland and Durham, if you want a boudoir photoshoot where you'll bring out your fierce side, have fabulous fun, girly giggles and get some once in a lifetime photos then click through to my website and contact me.
