Just an Update

Yes, time for an update from me, I was hoping to feature a family portrait session today but it's been postponed until Sunday afternoon so I thought I better update the blog.

So this week being half term I have been doing that thing that all working mums do, i.e juggling, I've honestly had to try and work only minimally as my children come first at all times, in saying that they're so good that I'm managing to keep up to date atleast.

On Monday Paul also took the day off, he's been working like a trojan and it's great that his gardening business is still doing so well at this time of year, it looks like it might be January before he can take some time off! (do you need a gardener, Meandering Gardens really is the gardener who cares, you can call Paul on 07505 004043)

Ok, plug over - Monday we went to the Hartlepool Historic Marina and as always there was plenty of fun to be had so lets see a few photos eh?

Looby and Abigail trying to lift up all the various cannon balls!

Posing for mum!
I seriously wish I had taken more lenses with me than just my Sigma f2.8 50-150 because it meant I couldn't get the whole of HMS Trinkamalee in,

It's a fantastic old warship though and we had lots of fun exploring it.

Love this one of Looby, at this point we had split up and I was going around with Looby and Abigail was with her daddy because they like to do different things at their own pace.

Some quoit action

and a bit of hard core hopscotch!

Hubby having fun in the play-ship, yes he's really a big kid!

trying to steer the wheel on the ship, I think you'd need 10 of Abigail and Looby for this job!

We really did have an awesome day and it was just so good to kick back and relax!

Jordan and Dylan - An Autumnal Kids Portrait session in Saltwell Park

Autumn is upon us and it's the most fabulous weather for photoshoots, capturing kids doing what they love most is my speciality and yesterday I had the most fun photoshoot with Jordan and Dylan.

Jordan isn't a big fan of the camera but luckily I'm not easily beaten and we got the most fab photos

I love this one when he was still holding firm to the no photography rule!

Dylan on the other hand is just a natural little smiler!

Show a little one a pile of leaves and look what happens

and oh my, doesn't this one melt your heart.

Big smiles were in there really!!

Finally a sweet moment with mum Kirsty.

I had so much fun with you guys and I know that Kirsty is another client having trouble deciding which ones she's going to have printed, I know that she wants them all which is brilliant!

Ok so this is the perfect week for autumnal kids photographs like these ones, photoshoot now and then Christmas gifts are sorted and no worries about the Credit Crunch Cash Crisis!!

To book your shoot please call me on 0191 2289515 or 07918 121838 or as ever contact me through my website.

Just a Quick Update

I'm so so sorry that I haven't been updating the blog, I am incredibly busy right now with family portrait photoshoots and lots of lovely boudoir shoots too. I promise this week I will share Elanor and her familys portrait photoshoot in Jesmond Dene and I will also be sharing some Hot favourites from Vickys boudoir shoot.

I've been designing albums by the gazillion and I'm now nearly living at the post office sending out tons of orders to happy people every day of the week.

I'm happy to say that I now have 2 slots of availability for the half term week and also a slot on Sunday so if you want to book your family portrait photoshoot or boudoir shoot or kids shoot to get those all important Christmas gifts sorted then please do give me a call on 07918 121838 or of course you can contact me through my website as ever.

Now then I can't post without showing a photograph so here's a Venture style portrait, if you fancy one of these (it's a mini backdrop in your own home and makes up just part of an indoor shoot)please call me!

Oh and did I show you any of these from the beach, beach shoots are so much fun in autumn -

Especially with fab hats

click on either of those to see the full session, lots of lovely new photographs for my very own walls and 1 or 2 are destined to be on 24x36 canvases, did you know that's the most popular size of canvas?

Back tommorrow hopefully with Vickys Hot and Smokin Boudoir session

Emily is simply gorgeous, she's also a very good friend of my daughter Abigail.

Brother James is the eldest and he's very well mannered and polite a real credit.

Thomas is just simply edible!!!

One more of my favourites.

I know that Rachael and her hubby loved these because she thanked my hubby at school on Monday and me when she saw me yesterday, it really was a pleasure and how you'll manage to choose from the gallery I just don't know!! Have fun though, maybe get them all on huge canvases, yes all 80, LOL!!

A Very Special Wedding

On Friday, I had the joyous task of shooting a truly wonderful and very special wedding, let me tell you the story of how it all occurred. A couple of weeks ago I donated a gift certificate to help one of my chosen charities "After Adoption" the gift certificate was won in a raffle by a lovely lady who worked for another charity "Gateway into the Community", she said that she wanted to use the gift voucher for 2 of her charity members who were getting married and couldn't afford a photographer. She then told me Tim and Doreens amazing story. Tim and Doreen both have learning disabilities, their families would not let them get engaged until they had been together for 10 years and then they had to be engaged for 10 years before being allowed to marry. When Fiona told me I immediately said we would scrap the gift certificate, I would go along and shoot the wedding and then send a disk to Fiona who will help them to get the photographs printed. do you want to see some photographs?

Here's Doreen with her mum

and here's groom Tim who was also celebrating his 50th birthday.

The ring exchange

and a very happy couple kiss to seal the marraige. At this point I cried, I think I was just overjoyed to be involved in such a wonderful event.

Isn't she gorgeous?

The wonderful couple.

Gotta love confetti!

It truly was an honour to be able to do something so fabulous on a Friday afternoon and it's an amazing feeling to be able to use your talents for very good use.

So if you are a charity or individual who needs a photographer for an event and really can't afford one please email me with your stories at mandy@mandycharltonphotography.com and I may be able to come along and help you celebrate.
